To close, hold the bag (side with holes facing your dominant hand), place the slider on the track, align the arrow towards the hole, and slide on. The slider will get easier after the first few uses. To make the sliding action smoother, place a drop of olive oil on the tracks. To open, slide away from the hole.

To remove odors and/or stains caused by carrots or tomatoes, insert a baking soda and vinegar solution, close the bag, and let sit for a day.
