Replace compost bin filters every 3-6 months. The carbon filter can be washed once in a while to keep mold from growing and to remove food bits from it; however, it won't refurbish the filter. The gas particles will not be released by washing them. The carbon's odour capturing effectiveness may be degraded with washes.

At end of life, please recycle the compost bin in a metal recycling box at your local recycling centre.
